Founded in 1997 by Thora Mansfield, The Open Door Crisis Centre in Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal is an established counselling, training and advisory centre. It is a safe haven where people across all sectors of the community can find compassion, understanding and help when they need it most – in their time of crisis.

The goal of the Centre is to be proactive in the community, lobbying for better service provision for the KwaZulu-Natal region. It has a special focus on issues relating to women and children.
