Open Door Crisis Centre

Founded in 1997 by Thora Mansfield, The Open Door Crisis Centre in Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal is an established counselling, training and advisory centre. It is a safe haven where people across all sectors of the community can find compassion, understanding and help when they need it most – in their time of crisis.

Open Door offers:

  1. An advice desk, counselling, crisis and trauma centre for the community
  2. A sanctuary from pain, suffering and distress
  3. Help for all people regardless of race, religion, creed or social standing
  4. To alleviate the fears and anxiety of dealing with trauma

The goal of the Centre is to be proactive in the community, lobbying for better service provision for the KwaZulu-Natal region. It has a special focus on issues relating to women and children.
